After one hella busy summer, I finally have some extended time off next week. It feels like a miracle, especially after spending last weekend working 20+ hours in two days. Of course, I’m taking this opportunity to travel since I haven’t had the time to go anywhere in particular in months. I’ll be playing around in New York City for my mini-vacation.

1. My birthday is coming up in a few days. As per tradition, I’ve already gifted myself with nearly $900 of new clothing, including the gorgeous & much sought after h.NAOTO FRILL Birdcage Jumperskirt. I’m really excited to make a coordinate with it.

2. I am in need of additional piercings. Yes, “in need of”. Tattoos as well.

3. I’ll be at New York Comic Con/New York Anime Festival this year.

4. I’ve managed to persuade a wonderfully lovely male friend of mine to dress up in lolita. (Okay, so there might have been some peer pressure involved.) He will be making an appearance as a beautiful, gothic princess at NYCC/NYAF. I am obviously a terrible, terrible person.

5. I need to make another trip (or ten) to New York City, because I quite miss it like crazy. And my friends there too, I suppose. Hopefully within the next two weeks, this will happen.

6. I’m also in need of a hair colour update, and I’m currently debating between red highlights, or going white-blonde entirely. Both look good on me, so I can’t decide.

7. I really miss traveling and city hopping. I wish I had more friends who are available to travel with me, although exploring new places on my own isn’t too bad.

No, not a modeling gig. I actually haven’t done any modeling in a while (not that I was ever that active to begin with). I’ve been working on the other side of the fashion industry instead, since it’s ultimately what I feel more comfortable doing.

As for what I got hired for, well, it’s actually going to be a side job for me, but once again, it’s fashion related. Vague? Oh yes. I actually don’t know the full details of everything I’ll be responsible for doing yet though, that’s why.

It’s kind of funny though, my official educational background is in the sciences.

1. I chopped off about 5 to 6 inches of hair (or maybe longer, I can’t recall) back in mid-March, and now it’s almost back to the length I started off with. My hair grows entirely too fast. I’m now debating on whether or not I want to go for an asymmetric bob with a partially shaved side, or back to a Tatsurou-style mullet.

2. I had an interview today. About 3 hours afterwards, I received a call saying that I got the position. They told me beforehand that they had quite a large group of people scheduled for interviews tomorrow, but apparently they’re not even waiting to go through those applicants. I feel kind of bad for them?

3. I was recently featured on NHK’s Kawaii International program. The episode aired this past Saturday in Japan.

4. My current style inspiration: GADGET GROW and monomania. Both brands are feeding my addiction to (and subsequently, the collection of) sarrouel pants.

5. Back in March, I met the members of RIZE, saw them live, got their autographs, and had the opportunity to just chat and joke around with Jesse (in a strange mix of Japanese and English). They were all unbelievably friendly and sweet. It’s definitely been one of the most memorable experiences to date. Here’s an image of Jesse performing in the middle of the audience that night, shot by Rio Ryosuke Suzuki. You can see the character for my name (螢) on his hand, because he wanted to personalize my CD and wasn’t sure of the kanji so he asked me to write it out.
